About

Chris Thornberry

I am a father of two super cute girls, husband to an amazing wife, corporate video producer, and life-long endurance athlete. For me, this website is a place to bring together my love of video production, photography, and running.

My favorite races are the longer ones. I have completed 4 IRONMAN triathlons and dozens of marathons. The finish line feeling never gets old to me and I enjoy being around the race atmosphere even when I’m spectating.

My upcoming race goal is to complete a second ultramarathon. If you’d like to see where I will be racing next, check out the Wanna Race? page.

I started out my athletic endeavors as a nationally ranked tennis player and went on to play collegiately at the division one level. During my time playing tennis, I also coached for 6 years. After college I found myself searching for my next athletic challenge. My initial goal was to tackle a marathon and eventually qualify for Boston.

Somewhere along the way, I found crossfit/crossfit endurance and triathlon. I quickly jumped into crossfit and triathlon, completing my first full ironman two years later. Through the CFE method, I quickly developed a quality over quantity method for training. So far I have completed eight half ironman and four full ironman races. My long term goal is to one day qualify for Kona.

My vision is to promote a harmonious balance between life and endurance sports (IRONMAN racing) while fostering a sense of community and comradery. I strive to be a positive role model for friends and family and promote a healthy active lifestyle.
